ThreadPulse is a Chrome extension paired with a hosted service that classifies your Gmail inbox into Priority, Pending, and Others. This page describes what data we touch and what we don't.
What we access
- Inbox metadata and previews. After you sign in with Google, we use Google's Gmail API to read each thread's subject, sender, and the short preview snippet Gmail itself shows in inbox lists. We also apply ThreadPulse labels to your threads so the same buckets are visible in Gmail directly.
- Your email address. Used to identify your account on our side and as the contact address if we need to reach you.
- Sign-in tokens issued by Google. Held on our servers and used to make Gmail calls on your behalf. They're tied to your account and inaccessible to anyone else.
What we do with it
- Classify your inbox threads using a lightweight sentiment + keyword-urgency model. Classifications are stored against your account.
- Apply a ThreadPulse Gmail label to each classified thread so the bucket is visible inside Gmail too — on your phone, in search, anywhere Gmail labels appear.
- Push live updates to the extension when your inbox state changes.
What we do not do
- We do not train any model on your email content.
- We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third party.
- We do not read or store full email bodies — only the preview snippets Gmail surfaces in inbox lists.
- We do not send email on your behalf.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
How your data is stored
Your data is encrypted, scoped to your account, and hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure with restricted access. Only the operator running ThreadPulse can access stored data — and only for support, debugging, or honoring a deletion request.
Retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. To delete it, email akash.sinha29@gmail.com from the address you signed in with — we'll wipe your account and all linked records within 7 days. You can also revoke ThreadPulse's Gmail access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, which immediately stops any further Gmail access from our side.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when we change how data is handled. ThreadPulse is currently in a private beta; consequential changes will be communicated out-of-band to active testers.
